In the second set, Báez deepened his dominance: he was more aggressive, found variations, and capitalized on his opponent's errors to secure breaks and seal a convincing 6-3, 6-1 victory. With this result, Báez advanced to the second round, where he will face Frenchman Titouan Droguet.
