Candidates vote in Romania's presidential elections

This Sunday, in Bucharest, the main candidates in the Romanian presidential elections cast their votes in a controversial repeat election. These elections were annulled six months ago by the judiciary due to Russian interference in the process.

The first candidate to vote was George Simion, considered the favorite according to the polls. Simion is an ultra-nationalist and came to exercise his voting right alongside other citizens.

"It is crucial for Romanians to actively participate in this electoral process to ensure the legitimacy and transparency of the results," said Simion after voting.

Another prominent candidate in these elections was Marcel Putere, who expressed optimism regarding the development of the electoral day and called on all citizens to vote to choose the next president of Romania.

The repetition of the presidential elections has generated significant interest both nationally and internationally due to the circumstances surrounding the annulment of the previous elections and Romania's geopolitical importance in the region.
